96 crews on the start line!

Open for the past month, the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse entries closed on a high note. Almost 100 crews answered the call and signed up for the 4th round of the World Rally Championship.

Almost one hundred crews will be on the “Île de Beauté” from March 28th to 31st. All of them will run among one of the sixth groups (WRC, R5, RGT, R3, R2, R1) that the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse will host; and around forty of those competitors will struggle for the win in one of the four FIA standings: the WRC that gathers the best drivers, the WRC2 for four-wheel vehicles, the RGT Cup that attracts the greatest homologated GT and the Junior WRC for under-28-year-old drivers.

Out of a total of 96 entries, 10 will start at the wheel of World Rally Cars, 18 in WRC2s (among which 2 in WRC2 Pro), 3 in RGTs and 13 with a vehicle admissible in JWRC. It’s no surprise that France will supply the highest number of crews (54), with a significant proportion of local entrants (27 drivers holding a Corsican license and 2 drivers from Corsica but with a different license).

The entry list will obviously feature the multi-World Rally Champions Sébastien Ogier and Sébastien Loeb, among the French contestants entering the event; but also the reigning French Rally Champion and Junior French Rally Champion, Yoann Bonato and Adrien Fourmaux. The latter will give anything in his power to shine since he will bear the colors of the 2019 FFSA French Rally Team.

“For the past three seasons we’ve registered each year the largest entry list of the World Rally Championship. The layout we imagined this year should meet the crews’ expectations, whose presence and trust are a bright testimony of the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse’s attractiveness.”
Dominique Serieys, Manager of the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse
