Penultimate round of the season, the Racc Catalunya – Rally de España (25-28 october) is going to host a furious fight between the WRC title contenders.

2: As the number of surfaces composing the route of the Racc Catalunya – Rally de España. Unique mixed event of the calendar, the Rally of Spain will be competed on gravel during the first leg then on tarmac during the last two days. Since teams convert their cars from gravel to asphalt after the first leg, drivers must quickly adapt their driving style.

7: As the number of points between the leader Thierry Neuville and his runner-up Sébastien Ogier before the penultimate event of the year. As the end of this very competitive season is getting closer, the Rally Racc Catalunya – Rally de España will be crucial regarding the race to the title. Winner of the event from 2005 to 2012 and record holder of the number of victories on the Catalonian roads, the Frenchman will take the start of the 2018 edition. For his third and last rally with the French Manufacturer Citroën this year, the nine-time World Champion could use his top speed and his huge experience to play a leading role among the twelve official drivers registered.

10: As the number of French drivers that will take the start of the 54th Rally Racc Catalunya – Rally de España. While Sébastien Ogier and Sébastien Loeb will surely fight for the victory, the four French drivers competing in WRC2, Pierre-Louis Loubet, Stéphane Lefebvre, Éric Camilli and Sylvain Michel, will try to claim a spot on the podium. Lastly, the FFSA French Rally Team member Jean-Baptiste Franceschi will take part in the event with his Ford Fiesta R2T and will be one the favorite of his category.

21: Among the 21 cars of the R5 category registered in the Racc Catalunya – Rally de España, two Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 will make their WRC2 debut in Spain. Driven by the Frenchman Éric Camilli and the Norwegian legend Petter Solberg, the new two German racing cars will face the stars of the category including Jan Kopecký, Kalle Rovanperä and Christian Ole Veiby.
