On the way to 2019!

12/10/2018

Endorsed by the FIA World Council on Friday October 12th, the 2019 edition of the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse will take place from March 28th to 31st.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Beauty Island will host the French round of the World Rally Championship. Gathered in Paris on Friday October 12th 2018, members of the FIA World Council validated the 2019 calendar. Fourth round of the season, the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse will welcome the world most prestigious rally drivers next March, from 28th to 31st.

Organized by the French Motorsport Federation, with the support of local authorities and sporting associations, the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse will start in Porto-Vecchio, and then visit Bastia where the Service Park will be set up, before ending its layout in Calvi. No less than 300 timed kilometers will be tackled by the WRC pack and will offer the best conditions to official drivers and amateurs.

“It’s a great pleasure to hear this confirmation. The CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse is part of the world rally patrimony and constitutes an amazing showcase for motor sports. We will do all we can, over the next six months that separate us from the event, to offer the same quality in terms of organizations than the previous years. With an appealing playing field and 75% of renewed special stages, we expect to attract as many competitors as during the past edition where more than 90 crews – a record for the 2018 season – were on the start line.”
Nicolas Deschaux, President of the French Motorsport Federation
