Hola Argentina!

24/04/2018

Fifth round of the World Rally Championship, the YPF Rally Argentina will welcome the crews from 26th to 29th April in a warm and vibrant atmosphere!

3: As the number of 2017 stages that will be run during the 2018 edition. Over the 18 timed sections, three have been maintained compared to the previous edition, three are totally exclusive and the others have been modified to provide the crews a new challenge and an exciting experience. The length of against-the-clock action is 358.25km passing through vast plains, rugged mountains and rock-strewn tracks!

12: As the numbers of WRC crews that will compete this 5th World Rally Championship’s round. While Craig Breen and Khalid Al-Qassimi will sport the red colors of Citroën, Teemu Suninen will team up with Sébastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans under the banner of M-Sport. No change for Hyundai and Toyota that keep the same line-ups than for the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse.

17: As the number of points between Sébastien Ogier and his runner-up Thierry Neuville in the WRC standings. First of the CORSICA linea – Tour de Corse and winner of three events already, Ogier is coming to Argentina with a lot of confidence and the leadership position. The five-time World Champion, who never won in Argentina, could however see Thierry Neuville, winner of the previous edition, contest his domination if the Belgian repeats his performance.

2 100: As the altitude reached during the mythic stage “Copina – El Cóndor”, which will be run twice on Sunday. Because of the early autumn spot of the event, this mountainous section offers a stunning scenery but could be unpredictable due to potential fog and even ice high in the mountains.

10 000: Known as the warmest and the most passionate crowd of the WRC calendar, the Argentinian public should live up its reputation with tens of thousands turning out, camping along the route and creating a carnival atmosphere with its tents, campervans and barbeques.
