The 2018 WRC calendar unveiled!

22/09/2017

While the 2017 World Rally Championship is coming to an end with three events remaining, the WRC promoter just revealed on Thursday 22nd Septembre the official calendar of the 2018 season.

Moved to the beginning of spring for the 2017 season after three autumn editions, the Che Guevara Energy Drink Tour de Corse keeps its spot in the 2018 WRC calendar. Set from April 5th to 8th, the Mediterranean event will host the 4th round of the World Rally Championship and will be the theatre of the first tarmac confrontations after the Monte-Carlo ice, the Sweden snow and the Mexican gravel.

Newcomer in the calendar, the Rally of Turkey makes a comeback after having hosted a world round between 2003 and 2006 and then in 2008 and 2010. The event organized near Marmaris, on the South-West coast, replaces the Poland Rally as the tenth stop in the season, the fifth one on gravel. Still adjusting, the Catalunya Rally de Espana and the GB Wales Rally switch positions, the former becomes the last European round and the latter positions itself at the beginning of October.

With 13 events mixing gravel, ice, snow and tarmac, a first round in Monte-Carlo at the end of January and a last one in Australia in November, the 2018 World Rally Championship remains a classic. Find out more here below with the complete calendar.
