The Hyundai drivers made the double in the last stage of the day, with Thierry Neuville setting 11:17.7 ahead of Dani Sordo (+3.2 seconds) and Jari-Matti Latvala (+3.6 behind seconds). A victim of hydraulic problems, Ogier was 36.7 seconds the leader. Neuville widened the gap in the overall standings, Ogier now trails by 38.9 seconds at the end of the second day of the race. The provisional podium is completed by Dani Sordo.

4. PADDON / KENNARD – HYUNDAI I20 COUPE WRC
The gravel crew did a great job we’re a lot closer than when we were here last year so not all bad. We are using this as an opportunity to learn as much as we can. I think I’m driving better and I’ve got more to do but we’re also working on the setup.

10. LATVALA / ANTTILA – TOYOTA YARIS WRC
It’s feeling like a completly different car compared to the first day and this morning. The things we managed to do in the service, I really like the car and now I’m really enjoying. Up to midday it’s been fighting and now I’m enjoying.

6. SORDO / MARTI – HYUNDAI I20 COUPE WRC
I do my maximum, my maximum. I can’t do better. For me it’s impossible. I do my best and I try to push really, really hard. I do my best and I push really hard but it’s still not good.

8. BREEN / MARTIN – CITROEN C3 WRC
A bit different now the intercom is working and I have a bit of volume in my ear. I struggled a bit in some places. I had a strong smell of fuel a the start of the stage, maybe a breather pipe has come off or something. I had to open the windows as my eyes were watering a bit.

5. NEUVILLE / GILSOUL – HYUNDAI I20 COUPE WRC
We are in a fight for the lead. Today we are very strong and we were able to set some good times. Hopefully it’s good enough to keep the lead tonight. Hopefully we get a better lead now. It will be tough tomorrow.

1. OGIER / INGRASSIA – FORD FIESTA WRC
At the end of the previous stage we lost the hydraulic pressure. I knew at the end of the last stage that the problem was starting. The target of the day is now just to finish, just to get back to service. We have no gear shift, no active diff. We have a rear wheel drive car and it behaves quite strangely.

2. TANAK / JARVEOJA – FORD FIESTA WRC
After yesterday it’s not so important to push hard, just trying to have a good clean rhythm and learning a bit. We still have quite a bit to improve and so I try to work a bit on everything.

11. HANNINEN / LINDSTROM – TOYOTA YARIS WRC
The car has been really cool you know. It was cool already yesterday but perhaps too cool. No problems today. We had a strong stage the second time. For sure, much better than yesterday.

32. MIKKELSEN / JAEGER-SYNNEVAAG – SKODA FABIA R5
The competition is there but we had a clean run. Careful with all the gravel pulled out and we were also starting the stage with cold tyres which was tricky as well. I’m happy enough, a clean drive. We can always go faster but with the situation we’re in we need to be quite clever.

84. SARRAZIN / RENUCCI – HYUNDAI I20 R5
I don’t know, something broke in the rear, perhaps it’s just a puncture. I didn’t hit anything perhaps it was just a rock.

34. SUNINEN / MARKKULA – FORD FIESTA R5
I lost quite a lot I think as we could not pass Sarrazin for the last 5 kilometers. It was quite OK before but I cannot do any better if I catch someone.

44. ROSSEL / FULCRAND – CITROEN DS3 R5
I don’t know, I have a puncture on the rear left tyre. The stage is very dirty.

40. LOUBET / LANDAIS – FORD FIESTA R5
Not so bad, we were blocked a little bit by Veiby. We have a small problem with the pop off valve. The feeling was good.

33. KOPECKY / DRESLER – SKODA FABIA R5
It was quite OK but we caught Veiby. The final part was quite wide and we passed him.

31. CAMILLI / VEILLAS – FORD FIESTA R5
Not a lot of brakes so a hard rally for me. The previous stage was perfect. It’s a hard rally, I prepare a lot. I’m not sad, but I’m not happy.

89. TOEDTLI / PAQUE – SKODA FABIA R5
Very difficult, very dirty. I take no risks and I’m happy to be here at the end of a very difficult day. A lot of work and it was very difficult to drive. I do my best and we’ll see.

41. TEMPESTINI / BERNACCHINI – CITROEN DS3 R5
We felt good but this stage was a bit more dirty than before. We have places where we can go faster but we try to learn it without taking any risks.

87. FIORI / TAVERA – SKODA FABIA R5
It’s an amazing stage. We are very happy to make this and I am happy to be here at the end of today.

46. PIENIAZEK / MAZUR – PEUGEOT 208 T16 R5
It was quite OK. We hit some rocks in the side of the corner so it was slow. We are struggling a bit with the car, hopefully we will be able to fix it and have more confidence tomorrow. The popoff is not working properly.

21. DUMAS / CHIAPPE – PORSCHE 997 GT3 RS 4.0
It was OK. Very narrow and a lot of gravel. The stages are too narrow, it was a difficult day today. A lot of tricky stages but we survive it.

88. BOLAND / M. J. – FORD FIESTA R5
The stages are not too bad. Quite similar to ours but more gravelly and the gutters. So far so good.

61. ASTIER / VAUCLARE – PEUGEOT 208 R2
A good stage but difficult. It’s good.

22. DELECOUR / SAVIGNONI – ABARTH 124 RALLY
It’s going much better today compared to yesterday. The car is going well and it’s going much better now. The road is very, very dirty and difficult to avoid the big rocks.

101. SOLANS BALDO / IBANEZ SOTOS – FORD FIESTA R2
These stages are really complicated for me. We are leading and have to be safe.

102. FOLB / GUIEU – FORD FIESTA R2
The stage is good, it was a very good day for us. It was a good battle.

104. CIAMIN / DE LA HAYE – FORD FIESTA R2
Not so bad, at the beginning we missed a bit of speed. Then OK, we pushed a lot. I would have preferred to be two seconds faster but OK.
