Date: Saturday 8th April
Service C

5. NEUVILLE / GILSOUL – HYUNDAI I20 COUPE WRC
It went pretty well on some stages which were narrow and dirty. Yesterday evening during service we changed the setups on the differentials and dampers. This has allowed us to be more efficient. If we continue with this pace, we’ll be able to keep our first position.

1. OGIER / INGRASSIA – FORD FIESTA WRC
In order to catch up with Neuville we have to find something. We will try to be faster this afternon. I still don’t have the perfect feeling with the car, it still doesn’t react the way I would like. We have some issues and the car is oversteering. The gap is not really big so we are going to try everything.

6. SORDO / MARTI – HYUNDAI I20 COUPE WRC
We have less issues than yesterday. Today I was able to drive normally but I still hope to improve this afternoon.

84. SARRAZIN / RENUCCI – HYUNDAI I20 R5
This morning at the start of stage five, I got tripped like a beginner and hit quite hard. My race could have been stopped at that point. However I am very happy with my performance and potential with the car.

34. SUNINEN / MARKKULA – FORD FIESTA R5
A good morning, I had no trouble, I will try to push a bit more this afternoon. The goal is to try and improve my times.

11. HANNINEN / LINDSTROM – TOYOTA YARIS WRC
I’m happy with the morning, I’m happily surprised with the performance of the car. I look forward to driving without any pressure.

14. OSTBERG / FLOENE – FORD FIESTA RS WRC
I was able to keep the same pace on first stages of this mornings loop. Even if everything is not perfect I’m quite happy with my times. I might be more cautious this afternoon as I have a large gap over the next car but I must remain focussed.

31. CAMILLI / VEILLAS – FORD FIESTA R5
I did not expect it to be that slippey this morning. I feel frustrated as the rally is not running the way I expected. You work a lot before the race and you can lose everything in a fraction of a second.

40. LOUBET / LANDAIS – FORD FIESTA R5
A nice morning even if we were blocked in SS5 after Koci’s accident. I have some nice feelings behind the wheel. I hope for some good times this afternoon and gain some experience.

8. BREEN / MARTIN – CITROEN C3 WRC
We lost the intercom on SS6 and it was really difficult to drive blind. I’m pretty happy we didn’t lose time with that. It was a bad morning for the team.

10. LATVALA / ANTTILA – TOYOTA YARIS WRC
I’m still looking for some good feeling with the brakes but I have an idea for what we can do this afternoon.

7. MEEKE / NAGLE – CITROEN C3 WRC
Yves Matton: Kris informed us of a warning about the oil pressure towards the end of the stage. He managed to finish the stage slowly but had to retire. It’s a big disappointment for the entire team.
