Five-star Ogier!

Third at Dayinsure Wales Rally GB, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia secure their fifth World Champions title in a row!

1: By winning on his home soil, Elfyn Evans is finally rewarded after a good season and seizes his first WRC rally. The Welsh driver is the first Briton to win the Rally of Britain since Richard Burns in 2000! After being disappointed in Argentina (losing by 0.7sec to Neuville), Evans, 28 years old, achieved its goal, winning nine stages and concluding the rally with more than 37 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville, second in Wales.

5: As the number of World Rally Championship titles secured by Sébastien Ogier. If the car has changed, the result is still the same for the Frenchman who joins Juha Kankkunen and Walter Röhrl by becoming World Champion with two different teams.

7: After Elfyn Evans’ victory at Dayinsure Wales Rally GB, seven drivers have now won at least one event this year. This 2017 WRC edition, which has been much contested, has seen all the teams and seven crews conclude a rally at the first place. Sébastien Ogier, Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak, Jari-Matti Latvala, Eflyn Evans, Kris Meeke and Esapekka Lappi, all have triumphed at least once this season!

1981: Latest World Rally Championship edition that crowned a driver from a private team. Since Ari Vatanen 36 years ago (Team Rothmans), nobody had won a World Rally Championship under a private team’s colors. By being crowned driving the Ford Fiesta WRC set up by M-Sport, Sébastien Ogier proves that he is one the greatest of his sport!

2007: Icing on the cake of this fantastic week-end, the M-Sport team wins the Manufacturers’ Championship for the first time since 2007. Always on the podium since the beginning of the season and with two drivers standing on the overall podium, the private British team has been constant and is logically rewarded.
