The two members of the 2017 Équipe de France FFSA Rallye Pierre-Louis Loubet and Yohan Rossel and their co-drivers Vincent Landais and Benoît Fulcrand, took part in their first sporting rendezvous and activities in the Tour de Corse, today Thursday 6th April.

Bastia hosted a raft of events today, Thursday 6th April. The Shakedown, the final test session for the Che Guevara Energy Drink Tour de Corse, took place at Sorbo-Ocagnano around 10 kilometres from the Bastia-Poretta airport where the hub of the rally is located. When this was over the two members of the Équipe de France FFSA Rallye joined up with the drivers from the top-level FFSA Rallye nursery entered for the Tour de Corse with M-Sport. It gave them the opportunity to benefit from the wise advice of Sébastien Ogier and Éric Camilli, former members of the Équipe de France FFSA Rallye.

The two young chargers have been selected by the Direction Technique Nationale run by Christophe Lollier, and they are being followed by Nicolas Bernardi, the coach of the team.

“Pierre-Louis Loubet and Yohan Rossel have shown in turn their potential, their sporting and technical skills and their motivation. The backing of their predecessors, Sébastien Ogier and Éric Camilli, and the Federal supervision system put in place during the Tour de Corse allow them to start the French round of the World Rally Championship in the best possible conditions. In the name of the FFSA Steering Committee that has put its confidence in them I would like to wish them the same success as their predecessors,Nicolas Deschaux, President of the French Motor Sports Federation.

Born: 18/02/1997 – lives in Porto-Vecchio (Corse-du-Sud)
2008: Minor league kart champion.
2009: Junior kart champion.
2015: season in WRC3 at the wheel of a Citroën DS3 R3T Max (two podiums in Rally Portugal and Rally Great Britain).
2016: season in WRC2 in a Citroën DS3 R5, took part in the 2016 Tour de Corse in the colours of the Équipe de France FFSA Rallye.
2017: Programme in WRC2. Tour de Corse in a Ford Fiesta supplied by M-Sport. Codriven by par Vincent LANDAIS.

Yohan ROSSEL, 22
Born: 13/02/1995 – lives in Saint-Jean-du-Gard (Gard).
2013: winner Rallye Jeunes FFSA.
2014: member of the Team Rallye Jeunes FFSA and French Junior Rally Champion in a Citroën DS3 R1.
2015: member of the Équipe de France FFSA Rallye and Citroën Racing Trophy.
2016: Citroën Racing Trophy, took part in the 2016 Tour de Corse 2016 in the colours of the Équipe de France FFSA Rallye – 2nd Junior World Rally Championship.
2017: Programme in WRC2. Tour de Corse in DS3 R5. Co-driven by Benoît FULCRAND.

The Équipe de France FFSA Rallye was created in 1998 and several great names in national and international motor sport have passed through its ranks: Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier, Nicolas Bernardi, Éric Camilli, etc. The 2017 Équipe de France FFSA Rallye consists of Pierre-Louis Loubet and Yohan Rossel.
