Dani Sordo (Mini) is now leading the rally at the end of the first day. The Spaniard is in front of two Citroën DS3; Petter Solberg at 1” and Sébastien Ogier (2”8). The other Mini of Kris Meeke is fourth in front of Latvala (Fiesta) who is more than one minute behind the leader.

Weather: sunny and warm (23°C)
Road conditions: some very dirty portions in the stage.

3. HIRVONEN/LEHTINEN :
“The day was difficult but it’s good to be here tonight as the start of the day was hectic for us. We can just hope it will go better tomorrow.”

2. OGIER/INGRASSIA :
“I don’t know what is going on but something is wrong on the car. I am at full attack but I can’t go faster. I feel a loss of power from the engine and it smells gas in the car..”

4. LATVALA/ANTILLA :
“I was hoping to be closer to the others…”

11. SOLBERG/PATTERSON :
“I am really happy up to now.”

“It’s great! I am very happy with this rally. Everything is going well. We must now keep this level of performance.”
